A lovely, small dry deciduous tree up to 12 metres tall with green to grey, papery, flaking bark and pinnate leaves up to 20 cm long with lanceolate leaflets. Commiphora aprevalii is found in the arid woodlands of southern and southwestern Madagascar. It grows best in mild temperate and dry tropical areas. It’s easy to cultivate and can be turned into a bonsai tree.
